Favourite things in February

Here are our favourite things from February

The Football Crest Index

These guys have just had their project successfully funded on Kickstarter in under a week. The Football Crest Index is creating it's first ever volume which will document the rich history and stories behind the club crest of the 47 clubs to have graced the Premier League. Alongside the narrative of the evolution of each badge they have selected 47 different designers who will create artwork to accompany the teams profile that they support.

If you want to get yourself a copy or keep up to date with the project give their twitter a follow @TheFCIndex

Eredivisie 2017/18 Match Ball

Famed Amsterdam tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher has made a permanent mark on many of the dutch players and now he will leave a permanent mark on the League itself.

Next season will mark the 60th anniversary of the Dutch Eredivise League and Henk  has been entrusted with designing the ball which will make its debut on the final game of this season.

Don't Take Me Home

We were lucky enough to go to the Premiere of Jonny Owen's new football film "Don't Take Me Home" this month which documents the story of Wales incredible journey and achievement at last summer's Euros. We highly recommend checking this out as Jonny's film is an electric example of the roller coaster of emotions that is football!

FA Cup Magic

One of the best highlights of this month has to be the fairytale FA Cup runs from non- League sides Lincoln City and Sutton United. In particular the Imps who achieved the impossible with their victory away at Premier League Burnley to become the first non-league side to reach the last 8 since 1914.

We have created our own tribute to Lincoln's and Sutton's achievements which you can see below.

If you've seen anything this month you think we wold like, please send them to l.cuthbert@art-of-football.com
